Today we preformed the streak test to identify the color of our minerals when ground down into a powder.

Homecoming

It's Homecoming weekend! Each day this past week we've been visited by athletes to share their sports. On Friday we made a Homecoming necklace.

Multiplication

Creating a picture graph


Here you see children using unifix cubes to help them interpret a key that said, each symbol = 4 students. The task was to transfer a frequency table into a picture graph.

Marble Party

Great news! The kids earned their first marble party for excellent behavior both in and outside the classroom. They chose to play math games on the computer. Softschools.com was a big hit.

Multiplication cartons

Ms. Rasmussen made multiplication cartons that can be used with flash cards to help learn their facts. They started using them today. They also wrote her letter of thanks.

Jayna was in charge of going over the math homework. She did a marvelous job!

Today as geologists we looked closely with our magnifying glasses at the color of 12 different minerals.
