Presentation 8

Kyla and Azariah taught us about the different art forms in Japan. We saw a few video clips too.


Origami was their follow-up activity.

Khalil shared his expertise on transportation. His follow-up activity was a crossword puzzle he created on the various forms of transportation. So great!

Jake and Jezel talked about the technology in Japan. You must check out the Japanese robot, Assimo!

Festivals in Japan were discussed by Camerin and Karma. I know I would love to go visit Japan during the Cherry Blossom Featival. Can imagine it's beautiful!

The girls taught us how to make carp kites in honor of Children's Day!


Presentation 4

Dominic shared what he learned about a typical school day in Japan. He answered some great questions asked by his peers.

Presentation 3

Clare and Victoria shared the traditional clothing worn in Japan. Then, we all decorated kimonos. Great job girls!

Presentation 2

Hailey shared with the class what she learned about the homes in Japan.
The activity she taught everyone was how take make a cherry blossom tree. They're amazing! I see an art teacher in our future!




Presentations

First I have to start by saying how proud both Mrs. Lowden and I are of how hard the students worked on their projects. Everyone went above and beyond. We have power points, tri-fold boards, follow-up activities, etc. truly top notch!

First to share was Jackson and RaQuan. They researched food in Japan.

The follow up activity was to teach students how to use chopsticks! How fun!

Haiku Poetry

Everyone had a chance to share their haiku poems with the class. I was so impressed with how vivid they were. We all checked to see that each poem followed the format of 3 lines with 5 syllables, 7, then 5.
